Every Sweat story starts with a real event and real people. This page explains how we approach them.
Real stories
We cover true events only. No fiction, no embellishment. If we can’t support a detail, we leave it out.
Researched and sourced
We combine storytelling with data, context and analysis to go deeper than what happened. Every story lists its sources at the end so you can check our work and read further.
Probabilities, explained
When we show an odds or probability figure, we say what it means, where it comes from and when it was captured. Probabilities describe uncertainty; they are not guarantees and they are not advice.
Why it matters
We care less about the headline than the stakes: what was on the line, and what we can learn from the people who took the risk.
